The Star Wars series The Acolyte had a tumultuous run, even receiving a review-bombing campaign before it had even released. Fans were divided on the show, and it was met with a cancelation in August, just after the July finale of the first and only season.
Dafne Keen, who is also known for her roles in Logan and Deadpool & Wolverine, played Jecki Lon in the series, and she recently talked about the devastation of the show’s abrupt end in an interview with ScreenRant, where she explained:
“It’s definitely, I think, overwhelming for all of us. I think we were all very proud of what we created. I know I’m very proud [of my character], I was very proud of how my friend Amandla handled the situation. And honestly, I’m a huge nerd myself, so I was just really happy that I got to play a Jedi. Bucket list ticked.”
It sounds like Keen had a bittersweet experience, but at least she will always have her time on a Star Wars set to remember.
