BRAVE NEW WORLD Writer Hopes Film “Will Be Tt Young Men What THE PRINCESS & THE FROG Was to Young Women” — GeekTyrant Find help us

Captain America: Brave New World writer Rob Edwards recently took to socical media to hype the film and share what he hopes the film will be to young men.

He explained: “This movie was a ton of fun to write. The Marvel sandbox is unparalleled, and the producers there are the best and the brightest.

“The movie comes out next month, but advanced tickets are on sale now. I can’t wait for you guys to see it. I’m hoping this movie will be to young men what The Princess and the Frog was to young women.”

The reference to The Princess and the Frog might seem a bit random, but I should note that Edwards also wrote the script for Disney’s 2009 animated film, so it makes sense that he’d want it to resonate with young audiences.

Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) officially took on the mantle of Captain America in the finale of Marvel’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. In the film, “After meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, played by Harrison Ford in his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut, Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident.

“He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.”

Captain America: Brave New World also stars Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lumbly, with Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, and Tim Blake Nelson.

The film is directed by Julius Onah and produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore.

Captain America: Brave New World opens in U.S. theaters on February 14, 2025.
