Voice actresses Manaka Iwami (Hikikomari Kyuuketsuki no Monmon) and Minami Tsuda (3D Kanojo: Real Girl) are joining the cast as Escher and Saria, respectively.
Jin Tamamura (Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry) is returning to direct the second season at Tsumugi Akita Animation Lab. Other returning staff include series composer and scriptwriter Naoki Tozuka (Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahou), character designer and chief animation director Naru Nishikori (Meiji Gekken: 1874), and music composer R・O・N (Lv1 Maou to One Room Yuusha).
The first anime season aired in 12 episodes in Spring 2024. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime with subtitles.
Kenkyo na Circle began penning the novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in October 2019. Kodansha began publishing it under its Ranobe Bunko label with illustrations by Meru. in July 2020. Kodansha released the eighth volume in July 2024.
Yousuke Kokuzawa began drawing a manga adaptation on the Magazine pocket website and app in June 2020. Kodansha published the 17th volume on November 8 last year.
Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English for both digital and print release in July and November 2021. The 13th volume went on sale last August, with the 14th volume planned for a February 25 release.
