Hiroyuki Imaishi (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners) is directing the anime at Trigger. Hiromi Wakabayashi and Hiroyuki Imaishi are handling the series composition. Shigeto Koyama (Promare), Sushio (Kill la Kill), and Masaru Sakamoto (SSSS.Gridman) are designing the characters.
Animation studio Gainax produced the 13-episode original anime, which aired in Fall 2010 and was originally created by Geek Fleet. Funimation streamed the anime with subtitles and an English dub. The company released a DVD set in July 2012 and Blu-Ray in January 2013.
