Eddington Release Date Window Revealed for Emma Stone & Joaquin Phoenix Movie Find help us

A24 has announced the Eddington release date window for its upcoming star-studded thriller, which hails from acclaimed filmmaker Ari Aster. Production started in March 2024 and is now currently in post-production.

“The story revolves around a couple stranded in a small New Mexico town. Though they are initially welcomed, the town takes a sinister turn by nightfall,” reads the initial synopsis.

When is the Eddington release date window?

The studio is targeting a summer 2025 release date for Eddington, which will serve as Aster’s latest collaboration with A24 after 2018’s Hereditary, 2019’s Midsommar, and 2023’s Beau Is Afraid. The upcoming film is reportedly in contention for a Cannes Film Festival debut. It is written and directed by Aster, who is also producing alongside Lars Knudsen through their Square Peg banner. The creative team also includes director of photography Darius Khondji, with A24 financing and producing.

The film will be led by Academy Award winners Joaquin Phoenix (Joker) and Emma Stone (La La Land), alongside Golden Globe winner Austin Butler (Elvis) and Emmy nominee Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us). Phoenix is slated to portray a town sheriff with ambitious dreams, while further details about Stone, Butler, and Pascal’s characters are still under wraps. Additional cast members include Deirdre O’Connell (The Penguin), Micheal Ward (Top Boy), Clifton Collins Jr. (Thief), William Belleau (Killers of the Flower Moon), Cameron Mann (Mare of Easttown), Matt Gomez Hidaka (Silo), and Amélie Hoeferle (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes).
