CM Punk, who was a favorite to win the Men’s Royal Rumble 2025, has another chance to possibly main event WWE WrestleMania 41. On the latest edition of WWE RAW, a qualifying match for the Men’s Elimination Chamber took place.
CM Punk defeated Sami Zayn in the main event of WWE RAW, securing his place in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match. Now focused on his goal of main eventing WrestleMania, Punk recently shared his thoughts on WWE Superstar Dominik Mysterio.
Since Dominik Mysterio turned heel in 2022, his career has soared. Fans respond passionately, often booing him so loudly during his promos that he becomes difficult to hear. CM Punk, who has battled “Dirty Dom” since returning to WWE, shared his thoughts on whether he feels bad for the rising star constantly drowned out by jeers.
CM Punk weighs in on Dominik Mysterio’s heat from WWE fans
Former WWE Champion CM Punk recently joined the Good Guy / Bad Guy podcast and shared his thoughts on fans booing Dominik Mysterio. When asked if he felt sorry for Mysterio, Punk admitted his surprise that people haven’t thrown rotten fruit or toilet paper at him.
He stated, “I’m actually shocked that—I don’t encourage this—but I’m shocked that people don’t throw rotten fruit at him or at least toilet paper because he is sh*t. That mustache is a choice, that haircut is a choice, his stupidity is a choice. You know what I mean? Like, he could read a book, he can learn how to read, he could be a better wrestler, he can learn how to run the ropes. He’s terrible, and if it’s because of his dad [Rey Mysterio], terrible. Well, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Like, everything about that kid is rotten to the core.”
While Punk’s comments aren’t surprising, as Dominik Mysterio has often taken shots at the veteran, the two stars previously faced off in a match back in December 2023, marking Punk’s first match since returning to WWE.
